GUIDELINES FOR ARTICLES SUBMISSION

Malaysian Association for Music Education (MAME) Bulletin Guidelines for Contributors. MAME Bulletin offers music educators a platform for the exchange of practical ideas that will help them become more effective teachers nationwide. The quarterly published bulletin is written in an easyto- read, conversational style which contains timely information of interest, to inform, and inspire Malaysian music teachers and those who support music education in Malaysia. Most of articles is written by professional writers based on input from members. Only two feature-length articles per issue are chosen from manuscripts submitted to MAME Bulletin by current MAME members. We welcome manuscripts that describe effective and innovative instructional strategies or thoughtful solutions to problems faced by music educators at all levels nationwide, from kindergarten level through university’s college level.
 

Article submitted shall relate to the following aspects:
* An advocacy idea that worked from you practical teaching—how you implemented it and what the results were.
* Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Access to music education nationwide.
* Practical teaching based on the National Standards
* Students with special needs
* Technology for music instruction
* Cross-curricular integration
* Multicultural music education
* Assessment in music education

All manuscripts are reviewed by the MAME Bulletin’s editorial committee. Accepted manuscripts are generally submitted as a Microsoft Word document of 1,300 to 1,600 words long and are written in a direct, conversational style. Articles in second person often preferred. Footnotes or endnotes may be used; any necessary references are incorporated into the text of the article, often in parentheses complying to American Psychology Association (APA) format. MAME Bulletin editorial board will not consider articles that have been simultaneously submitted to another publisher and will not normally consider reprints. Copyright for all articles accepted for publication is assigned to MAME bulletin. No payment required for contributions of articles and posters to the magazine. Once a manuscript is accepted, authors are encouraged to send in color photographs or other graphics that illustrate the main points of their articles. Photographers should obtain permission from the parents or guardians of minors whose photographs are submitted (Release Form). An accompanying e-mail should include the author’s address, daytime phone number, and title or position.
